DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS (2000)
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, customers in the European Union are entitled to a right to cancel the contract within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered. To cancel the contract, please pack the relevant item securely (All sewing machines must be packed in their complete and original packaging for full protection) and send it to us (please insert clear details on reason for return and name, address, tel. number, email etc.) so that we receive it within 7 working days after the day of the date that the item was delivered to you.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us. You may also wish to consider a trackable and signed for service and also an insurance for higher value goods. Joy to Create accept no liability for goods being returned by customers during transit.
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order and returned goods are received and checked, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item within 30 days. We cannot accept returns for: Software, cut fabric or opened kits.
CANCELLED WORKSHOPS & COURSES
Workshops are paid for in full in advance, if you cannot attend and wish to cancel we apply the following refunds:
Cancelled 15 days or more before workshop: 70% refunded.
Cancelled 14 days or less then sadly we are unable to offer a refund.
However, we will accept a friend to take your place, just let us have their details. If a workshop is cancelled by Joy to Create for whatever reason then a full refund is given or the option to attend another date or workshop.
FAULTY PRODUCTS UNDER GUARANTEE
We do our best to ensure your orders are correct by following a stringent packing procedure and all sewing machines are inspected, tested and a sample piece run through the machine prior to dispatch. All sewing machines sold by us are intended for general domestic use and any other usage ie, commercial, may invalidate or reduce any warranty (Full manufacturers terms and conditions available on request). In the event of a problem please contact us so that we might run through some checks and take details, once processed we will issue a returns reference and arrange collection. All sewing machines must be packed in their complete and original packaging for full protection. The machine will be corrected or replaced and we aim to return it to you within 21 days (also subject to parts availabilty from manufacturer) Upon receiving the return item we will carry out an inspection, should the machine fault fall outside the manufacturer’s warranty, for example misuse etc. we will issue a quote to repair including the carriage cost to retrieve and return the item to you. In this instance payment in full is required prior to dispatch. All new products without manufacturer’s extended warranty will be guaranteed against manufacturing or material defect for a period of one year. No warranty covers accidental damage, misuse or normal wear and tear. In the event that your purchase becomes faulty during the warranty period please contact us and we will advise on how to resolve the problem.
All returned items will be inspected before being exchanged or repaired. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
